Mumbai: The South Cyber Police Station has arrested an individual for posting obscene comments on the Facebook page “Rajkaran Maharashtra.” The arrest follows a complaint filed by the victim, after the accused, identified as Babasaheb Shinde, posted inappropriate comments from his Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/babasaheb.shinde.1276487).
The Maharashtra State Women’s Commission had brought the matter to attention. Based on the information that the accused resides in Sonagaon, Taluka Rahuri, Ahmednagar.
The police officers from South Cyber Police Station, along with two constables, were dispatched on January 7. Upon reaching the location, the accused, Babasaheb Laxman Shinde, was found and arrested with the assistance of Rahuri Police Station.
He was subsequently brought to Mumbai and taken into custody for further investigation. The aacused produced before court and court granted bail to him.
