Former India captain and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly narrowly escaped in a road accident. On Thursday, when he was going to attend an event in Bardhaman district of West Bengal, his car fell victim to an accident.
How did the accident happen?
- The accident took place in Dantanpur area of Durgapur Expressway.
- The cars involved in Ganguly’s convoy collided due to a sudden overtake by a high speed lorry.
- The driver of Ganguly’s car had to brake immediately due to the sudden surfaced of the lorry, causing the cars running back.
- It is a matter of honor that no one was hurt in the accident and Ganguly is completely safe.
Ganguly’s car minor damage, big accident averted
In this accident, Ganguly’s car and two other cars involved in the convoy suffered mild losses. However, despite the accident, Sourav Ganguly continued his journey and joined the schedule.
Police informed on Friday:
“Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly crashed in the former Bardhaman district of West Bengal, but no one was injured in the incident.”
A West Bengal Police official said:
“Ganguly’s car suddenly had to brake, causing other cars involved in their convoy to collide with each other. A vehicle also hit his car, but fortunately there was no major loss. ”
