After the controversy escalated, Sonu Nigam shared a video on his Instagram, in which he gave full clarification about the incident.
Sonu Nigam made it clear in the video that his displeasure was not with all the people present there, but only 4-5 people who were repeatedly threatening him by calling him ‘Kannada-Kannada’. He said, “The behavior of those some people was very bad. He was talking in a threatening manner instead of listening to the song. I always respect Kannada language and people.”
Sonu further said that he had mentioned the Pahalgam attack so that such people should understand that there is no justification for violence and misconduct. He also clarified that the entire community should not be considered wrong because of some people. Sonu said, “There are some people everywhere who spoil the atmosphere, but it is wrong to blame the entire state or community because of them.”
He further explained that he brings a special set of Kannada songs in every show, but it was necessary to stop the bully people immediately so that there was no major dispute in the future. The video of this incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which Sonu Nigam is seen reprimanding some people.
