Son Of Former Municipal Chairman Assaults, Slaps Constables Inside Police Station | X
Bengaluru: A shocking video has emerged from Bengaluru in which a man is seen slapping a police officer inside police station in Pandavapura. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the man is slapping the police constable repeatedly, allegedly after an altercation. There are reports that the man who is assaulting the police constable is the son of a former municipal chairman.
There are reports that the incident occurred when the son of the former municipal chairman was summoned to the Pandavapura Police Station for questioning in connection with a disputed case.
The man arrived at the police station and started misbehaving with the police officers during the interrogation. An argument reportedly erupted between the police and man, the situation escalated and he started slapping the police officer inside the police station.
The other personnel present at the spot intervened and stopped the man while he was hitting the police constable. They quickly brought the situation under control and arrested the accused for hitting the police officers.
The video is going viral on social media and it can be seen in the video that the man first slaps one of the constables and then holds him by his collar. Another officer intervenes and holds the man from behind and tries to stop him from further assault. However, the man turns and holds the other constable by his collar and attacks him.
A female constable also tries to stop the man by holding his hand, however, he pushes the female constable away and continues the assault. Other police officers rush to the spot as the man is seen yelling at the constables. A senior police officer then intervenes and starts punching the accused asking him to leave the police constables.
The incident was recorded by an onlooker and the is being shared on a large scale on social media. There are reports that the accused has been arrested and strict legal action has been initiated against him. A case has been registered against the accused under Section BNS 132 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused son of the former municipal chairman has been sent to 14 days judicial custody.
