3 national highways closed in Himachal
Due to snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, sectional power and water connections have also been cut in some districts on 174 state and 3 national highways (NH 03, NH 305, NH 505) in the last 24 hours. Due to changing weather and snowfall, there has been power failure at 683 places. The Disaster Information Department has released the district wise report. Along with this, advisory has also been issued for tourists.
A situation like Himachal Pradesh has now started developing in Uttarakhand also. Snowfall occurred in many high altitude areas of the state. However, it receives less snowfall compared to Himachal. Still high altitude areas like Auli, Uttarkashi, Chakrata, Badrinath, Kedarnath are covered with white sheets. This is the second snowfall of this season in Kedarnath Dham. The snowfall has also affected the reconstruction work going on there. There is continuous snowfall in Kedarnath Dham since yesterday. There has been more than one feet snowfall in the Dham so far. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that Christmas and New Year may be cold.

Whereas the temperature in Pahalgam was minus 5 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be further shock in the temperature by Wednesday.
