Agar Malwa (Madhya Pradesh): Over seventeen passengers were injured and two other suffered severe injuries when a bus overturned near Ganeshpura junction on Ujjain-Jhalawar National Highway. As per reports, a sleeper bus from Khatu Shyam to Indore lost control on Sunday morning, reportedly due to dense fog.

Seventeen passengers sustained injuries in the accident and are receiving treatment at the Civil Hospital of Susner. Two seriously injured passengers were referred to the district hospital for further care.

The following individuals were reported injured in the accident Pinkesh (38) of Indore, Surendra Singh (35) of Maksi, Rachna Singh (27) of Hatpiplya, Tanjila (25) of Kota, Simi (23) of Jharkhand, Pawan and Piyush among others. Upon receiving information, a significant number of local residents, along with administration and police officials, rushed to the spot to assist in rescue efforts. SP Vinod Kumar Singh, along with police, inspected the site. The negligence of the bus driver has also come to the fore.

Eyewitness Hemant, a resident of Jaipur, reported seeing intoxicating substances near the driver’s seat. This marks the second bus overturning on this route within a month. Emergency services, including 108 vehicles and hospital ambulances, swiftly arrived at the spot.

Dariyav Singh, a local farmer, played a heroic role by helping rescue trapped passengers. Notably, Mayank Bhutda and his 1.5-year-old son Krithak were stuck for nearly an hour before being freed by a JCB and crane. A case was registered against bus driver Hansraj. SDOP Devnarayan Yadav confirmed about the accident and assured further probe.
