The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has taken an important decision to strengthen the security of the general public and strengthening the law and order. Now the e-rickshaws and autos running on the roads without registration will be strictly monitored. The campaign has started from Tuesday and will run till the month of April.
What is the government’s plan?
In a recent high-level meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a clear message to the officials that no compromise will be made with law and order. The government has intensified action in this direction after the involvement of unauthorized auto and e-rickshaws in many cases.
According to Transport Commissioner Brajesh Narayan Singh, this campaign will run till April 30 and it will be monitored every day. Additional Transport Commissioner (Enforcement) has been appointed as its nodal officer. At the same time, special instructions have been given to divisional transport officials in the districts. The campaign report will be sent to the government every Friday.
Aim is also to stop road accidents
CM Yogi also said that the vehicles driving by minors were strictly banned. Also, verification of auto and e-rickshaw drivers should be ensured. Transport department officials have also been included in the task force built in all the districts, so that the campaign can be effectively implemented.
This step of the Yogi government is considered an important effort towards safe and disciplined traffic system in the state. Now it has to be seen how effective this campaign proves.
