Ensure safety of Hindu minorities: US Congress
Additionally, US Congressman Brad Sherman issued a statement asking the interim government of Bangladesh to protect the Hindu minority. Also asked to address the protests by Hindus and minority communities against the continuous attacks and harassment. Sherman said the current administration must show leadership in ensuring the safety of the Hindu community by taking action against the violence targeting them. The interim government of Bangladesh has the responsibility to protect its Hindu minority and address the thousands of minority Hindus protesting against attacks and persecution in the country.
