Bhopal (Madhya Pardesh): BJP MLA Rithi Pathak cornered her own government on the floor of the house by expressing reservation on the issue related to construction of Medical College on PPP model in Sidhi. She claimed that no industrialist is willing to invest in this regard.
She demanded to stop construction of Medical College on PPP model. Health Minister Rajendra Shukla assured her that in future if review in policy decision is needed, then discussion will be done over the issue.
During discussion, Pathak not only raised fingers towards vacant positions of doctors in Sidhi District Hospital but also said that Sidhi is yet to get even a railway line. She opined that neighbouring Rewa district is having airport facility. On this, Rajendra Shukla said that Rewa airport is also for Sidhi people and they can use it. He added that within six months, the railway line will be started in Sidhi.
Issue related to fast, junk food echoes in assembly
The health risk posed by fast food and junk food echoed in the assembly. Health Minister Rajendra Shukla accepted that the matter related to junk and fast food is serious. He agreed that there is a need to chalk out an action plan in this regard. It was during the question hour that BJP MLA from Jabalpur, Abhilash Pandey raised question related to fast food.
He said that fast food culture has increased at high speed in the state and due to this, diseases have increased at an alarming level. Interrupting him in the middle, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that over the issue of people dying at young age, he had called a meeting of doctors in Indore and they said that they attributed junk and fast food as the main reason.
He also said that use of vinegar quantity is high in comparison to foreign countries. On this, Congress MLA Balabachchan said that there is assumption among people that deaths are occurring due to COVID vaccine. Vijayvargiya said that he had personally read research papers of USA, Russia and other countries and they said no deaths occurred due to the vaccine.
