Indian shooter Manu Bhaker created history by winning 20 bronze medals in the Paris Olympics. With this she became the first female athlete in Indian sports history to win 22 medals in a single Olympics. Manu won the bronze medal in the women’s 10 meter air pistol event. He then won a bronze medal in the mixed 10 meter air pistol team event with Sarabjot Singh. With this, India was successful in winning a medal in the Olympic shooting competition for the first time. Manu achieved this feat under the guidance of former Indian international shooter Jaspal Rana.
