A disturbing incident has emerged where a bus conductor allegedly assaulted a passenger during a public transport journey. The video of the confrontation, which surfaced on March 31st, was originally shared by an X user, Amarjit Pal, on March 30th, triggering widespread concern over passenger safety.

According to Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), the altercation actually took place on March 29th on bus route number 382, operated by the Deonar depot. The bus was en route from Sahar Cargo to Anushakti Nagar when tensions flared between the conductor and two young passengers.

According to an official, the dispute began when the conductor asked the passengers for their fare while they were engaged on their mobile phones. The conductor, after initially moving on to serve other passengers, returned to request payment again, which led to a heated argument. The situation escalated further when the passengers began recording the exchange, prompting the conductor to attempt to intervene.

According to sources, as the bus neared Ramabai Nagar, the conductor rang the bell for the next stop, at which point the two passengers exited without purchasing tickets. Before leaving, they allegedly threatened to make the video viral on social media.
