Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): As many as 28 pigeons were allegedly killed by a man in Gwalior’s Scindia Nagar. According to reports, the accused entered the rooftop of a neighbouring house and killed the pigeons by twisting their necks on Wednesday night.

After the discovery, the owner of the pigeons called up the police. The police conducted a medical examination of the pigeons and later handed over their remains to their owner for burial. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act against the accused.

According to information, the incident took place late at night when Kajal Roy, a resident of Gwalior’s Scindia Nagar government quarters, heard unusual noises from her rooftop where she keeps over 50 pigeons. Upon reaching the rooftop, she saw her neighbour, Mohit Khan, fleeing along with another individual. To her horror, she found 28 of her pigeons dead inside their cage.

Kajal immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene to investigate. During questioning, Kajal alleged that she often had disputes with Mohit Khan and suspected him of killing the pigeons out of spite. The police conducted a medical examination of the pigeons before handing over their remains to Kajal Roy for burial. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act against Mohit Khan and another unidentified person.
