Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 19-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by six accused while she was returning from a fair in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli district. The accused held her friend and tied to a tree and dragged the girl to a nearby forest.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening around 7:30 pm, when the duo was returning from a fair.
After the victim’s complaint, the police arrested the six accused on Monday.
According to information, the victim went to a fair with his friend on Sunday. She was returning to her home around 7.30 pm. While on the way, the six boys blocked the way for the victim and her friend. When the victim’s friend raised his voice, the four accused thrashed and held him hostage.
Following this, the two accused dragged the girl into the forest and then, six of them allegedly raped her one by one and fled from the spot.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family members searched for her throughout the night. After the incident, the victim reached her home around 5.30 am on Monday morning, and told everything to her parents.
Police arrested all accused
She along with her family members reached the Jiyawan police station and complained. After the complaint, the police acted promptly and arrested the six accused.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and POSCO Act. Further investigations are underway.
