Former Maharashtra minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Monday responded to the Centre’s decision to send teams comprising Members of Parliament from different parties to present India’s stance in key world capitals.
Speaking to the media in Mumbai, Aaditya said, “Our stand has been clear from day one… From day one, all opposition parties said in one voice that we are with the Prime Minister because we have to show Pakistan what our strength is, and we will keep fighting against terror and stay united. But somewhere, they (BJP) have started playing politics… All parties should be kept together instead of indulging in politics.”
Raising questions about the need for such a delegation, he said, “The Foreign Minister should explain why such a situation has arisen, and why, today, representatives of all parties have to be sent across the world. No one is talking about how the terrorists reached Pahalgam…”
Congress leader Nana Patole told the media, “… The statement by the External Affairs Minister has raised a lot of questions… There is no information on the number of Indian aircraft downed…”
