Moradabad, 29 November (HS). Officials of Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction were arrested on Friday evening in Budh Bazaar of Sadar Kotwali area while going for Jalabhishek in the disputed Hariharnath temple of Sambhal. After this, the police took all the Shiv Sainiks to the police line and late in the evening all the arrested Shiv Sainiks were released on personal bond.
Virendra Arora, district head of Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction, said that on Friday evening we along with 51 Shiv Sena officials were going for Jalabhishek at Harihar Nath temple in Sambhal, but like every time, the police stopped us today and took us to Sambhal. Didn’t let go.
Virendra Arora further said that Jama Masjid has been built by demolishing the Hariharnath temple in Sambhal, there is a temple there and it will remain a temple only. Today Shiv Sena has stopped Moradabad officials from going to Sambhal. Soon Shiv Sainiks from various districts of entire Western Uttar Pradesh will reach Moradabad and will march from Moradabad to Sambhal and will perform Jalabhishek in the Hariharnath temple of Sambhal.
