Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, known for her work in 1990s Bollywood hits and her appearance on Bigg Boss 18, has recovered from COVID-19 and assured fans that she is doing well.

The 51-year-old actress took to Instagram on Thursday (May 22) to share an update on her health, just days after revealing she had tested positive for the virus.

Shilpa is remembered for her roles in films like Bewafa Sanam, Khuda Gawah, and Gopi Kishan, and more recently gained renewed attention after appearing in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 18.

Shilpa was one of the top contestants in Bigg Boss 18 and she gained attention for her close ‘maa-bete’ relationship with Vivian Dsena and Karan Veer Mehra. She also made headlines for her drastic weight loss transformation. The actress earlier revealed that she lost 13-14 kg ever since her stint on Bigg Boss.

Speaking to ETimes earlier, Shilpa credited co-contestant Avinash Mishra for kickstarting her weight loss journey on Bigg Boss 18. “When he was in Bigg Boss’s jail, we all received very little food, and all of us lost weight. I feel that was the starting point for me. Avinash will always have my thanks… I am now on a proper diet. I have to maintain this weight loss, and in fact, I want to lose even more weight because, on screen, you always appear bigger. I’m trying to control my portions and stick to just one or two meals a day.”

On the work front, Shilpa will be seen next in the Telugu film Jatadhara.
