Retired Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan received a grand welcome in Nepal as he made his way to the nation to join the Karnali Yaks ahead of the Nepal Premier League. At the end of the video, Dhawan remarked, “Hello Nepal, main aa chuka hoon aur aap sabko jald hee milunga.”
Dhawan announced his international retirement in August 2024, having played his final match in December 2022, dropped from the one-day side in Shubman Gill’s favour. The southpaw has featured in 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is from 2011 to 2022 and was notably part of Team India’s 2013 Champions Trophy victory.
