Former Indian opening batter Shikhar Dhawan was seen dancing with his girlfriend Sophie Shine during music producer Anshul Garg’s birthday bash. In a video shared by DesiBollywood on Instagram, the left-hander was seen dancing enthusiastically, with actress Jacqueline Fernandez also shaking a leg alongside him.
Dhawan, who is already divorced, had fueled dating rumours with Shine during Champions Trophy 2025 when he was seen sitting beside her in the stands amid a Team India matches. Several media reports suggested at the time that Shine is a product consultant based in Ireland. The left-handed batter separated from his wife Ayesha Mukherjee in 2023 and had revealed recently that he hadn’t seen his son in two years.
Earlier this month, Dhawan had confirmed he was dating Shine by uploading a photo with her on Instagram. Meanwhile, below is the video of the 39-year-old shaking a leg with Shine:
Shikhar Dhawan played his final IPL edition in 2024
Dhawan, meanwhile, opted out of IPL, having played his final edition in 2024 when he was part of the Punjab Kings. The southpaw had also missed a few matches due to injury, forcing Sam Curran to lead the franchise.
Dhawan is still the third-highest run-getter in IPL history, hammering 6769 runs in 222 matches at 35.25. As far as the southpaw’s international career goes, he played all three formats for the Men in Blue. However, Dhawan was known as the 50-overs format’s specialist, amassing 6713 runs in 167 ODIs and was the leading run-getter in the 2013 and 2017 Champions Trophy tournaments.
The 39-year-old had also featured for India in 34 Tests and 68 T20Is.
