Actors Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar recently found themselves in the spotlight after rumours suggested they were expecting their first child three years after tying the knot. However, veteran actress Shabana Azmi, Farhan’s stepmother, has dismissed the speculation.
Speaking to ETimes, Shabana clarified that there is not truth to the reports.
The couple, who tied the knot in February 2022, is yet to comment on the rumours themselves. Farhan and Shibani always keep their private lives low-key and sometimes share glimpses of their life together on social media.
Meanwhile, Farhan is also celebrating his 51st birthday on Thursday (January 9). The actor, director, and musician has been receiving heartfelt wishes from family, friends, and fans on social media platforms.
Farhan and Shibani dated for almost three years before tying the knot in the presence of their close friends and family members on February 19, 2022 in Khandala.
Farhan was previously married to celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. The couple tied the knot in 2000 but parted ways in 2017. They share two daughters, Shakya and Akira.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Farhan will be getting back to the director’s chair after almost 11 years with a female-oriented road trip film ‘Jee Le Zara’ which will feature Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. He announced the film in 2021. However, there’s no update on the film’s production and release yet.
He will also direct ‘Don 3’ headlined by Ranveer Singh.
On the other hand, Shibani was recently seen in Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s web series ‘Made in Heaven 2’.
