Veteran batsman Sheldon Jackson has made the record of hitting the most sixes in the history of Ranji Trophy. He achieved this feat during the final league match played against Assam in Rajkot on Thursday. Jackson broke the record of former Indian wicketkeeper Naman Ojha, whose names were 143 sixes in the Ranji Trophy.

Historical achievement in 100th Ranji match

The match was special for Sheldon Jackson, as it was his 100th Ranji Trophy match of his career. He made this record by hitting a brilliant six in the over of Assam fast bowler Rahul Singh. Jackson has so far scored more than 6600 runs in the Ranji Trophy and is the third highest run -scorer after Cheteshwar Pujara and Sitanshu Kotak for Saurashtra.
