Many cases against Sheikh Hasina
Let us tell you that after leaving power, the interim government of Bangladesh has registered dozens of cases against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, which also includes allegations of crimes against humanity. Apart from Hasina, several of her cabinet members have also been charged, some of whom are currently in jail and some have fled the country.
Myanmar’s military chief has also recommended this matter
During the meeting between Mohammad Yunus and Karim Khan, it was also reported that both of them requested for a formal arrest warrant against the Rohingya crisis and humanitarian aid for them as well as Myanmar’s army chief Min Aung Hlaing. The accountability of those responsible for the atrocities committed during the mass movement in the country during July-August was also discussed.
Hasina fled the country after the protest
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country and came to India in August after protests against job reservation began in Bangladesh. After he left the country, an interim government was formed and it was led by Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus. After the formation of the interim government, the phase of action against Sheikh Hasina has started. The Bangladesh government has issued an Interpol notice against her and has also demanded India to send Sheikh Hasina back to Bangladesh. The government has also sought cooperation from the ICC in this matter, so that it can help in prosecuting Sheikh Hasina.
