Delhi Budget 2025: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented the budget in the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday (March 25). This budget is Rs 1 lakh crore for 2025-2026. During this, CM Gupta said that this time our focus will be on the infrastructure facilities. Meanwhile, CM Rekha Gupta said, ‘Today is a historic day. This is not a simple budget. The new government in Delhi has come up with a historic mandate. The whole country wants to see the budget of Delhi today. Delhi’s budget has been in bad condition for the last ten years. This time the budget of Delhi government is worth Rs 1 lakh crore, which is 31.5 percent more than the previous year.

Sheesh Mahal will be a tourist destination

While presenting the budget in the Delhi Assembly, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “A provision of Rs 117 crore has been made for tourism, art, language and culture.” This is double the previous budget. Boating facility will be made available in Sonia Vihar. 25 crore rupees have been fixed to connect the new generation to Delhi. An international film festival will be held in Delhi, for which an amount of Rs 30 crore has been fixed. Apart from this, Sheesh Mahal will be included in the tourist destination.

Laptops will be distributed to students.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “1500 crore rupees will be spent to make children responsible citizens.” Foreign languages ​​will be taught in 100 government schools, Rs 21 crore will be spent for this. Children will be taught the art of living life at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore. 7000 classes will be made smart classes. Laptops will be provided to 1200 children from class 10 to 11 at a cost of Rs 7.5 crore. Rs 20 crore will be spent for the foundation stone project, Rs 618 crore for technical education, Rs 500 crore for setting up education center in Narela and Rs 20 crore for ITI.

Provision of Rs 5100 crore for equal pay to women

A provision of Rs 5100 crore has been made in the Delhi budget to give equal pay to women. A provision of Rs 210 crore was made for maternity scheme.

Sewer treatment plant to be built at a cost of Rs 500 crore

The sewer treatment plant will be repaired at a cost of Rs 500 crore, out of which Rs 250 crore will be spent on repairing the old line. There is a provision of Rs 200 crore for the renovation of Najafgarh drain. The Munak Canal will be converted into a water pipeline at a cost of Rs 200 crore. Currently, water is coming from Haryana in the open.

 

Apart from this, 40 decentralized sewage treatment plants will be set up at a cost of Rs 500 crore to clean the Yamuna. Modern machines will be installed at a cost of Rs 40 crore. A financial assistance of Rs 2000 crore has been sought from the Government of India.

More than 5000 new electric buses will bring

There are 2152 electric buses for public transport in Delhi. More than 5,000 new electric buses will be included in 2025-26. 2,929 crore rupees have been given for the metro, we will give our share and prepare for the next phase. Rs 1000 crore has been kept for urban transport and Rs 12952 crore for Delhi transport.
