Shariful Islam, accused of attack on Saif Ali Khan, filed a bail plea filed in the court, said- I was falsely implicated

Shariful Islam Shahzad, accused of attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, has filed a bail petition in the Mumbai session court claiming that he did not commit any crime and was implicated under false charges.

Accused claim- victim of false allegations

Islam’s lawyer argued in the court that a false case has been registered against his client and he has never been involved in any crime. According to the lawyer, the accused has given full support in the investigation and no concrete evidence has been found against him in the investigation so far.

The petition said that the police have collected all the evidence including CCTV footage, call recording, so there is no possibility of tampering with the evidence of Islam.

What are the allegations?

Shariful Islam is accused of entering Saif Ali Khan’s house on the night of 16 January with the intention of robbery. He was reportedly attacked Saif Ali Khan and his Made Geeta.

It is alleged that Islam attacked with sticks and Hegja blades, causing serious injuries to Saif Ali Khan. He had to remain hospitalized for several days and also had to undergo surgery.

Bail plea is possible soon to hear

Bandra Police has not yet filed a charge sheet in this case. Soon Islam’s bail plea may be heard in the sessions court.

It was also said in the petition that it is not appropriate to keep the accused in jail before the charge sheet is filed.

The accused was illegally living in Mumbai

Police investigation revealed that Shariful Islam is a resident of Barishal city of Bangladesh and was living illegally in Mumbai.

Bangladeshi ID card and driving license have been received from him. He was working in the city in Mumbai by hiding his identity under the name Vijay Das and has been living in the city for the last five months.

Case registered against actor’s staff

A case was also registered against Saif Ali Khan’s staff member Alima Philip in this case. The case is pending in the Bandra Magistrate Court and after the charge sheet is filed, it will be transferred to the session court.

Now everyone’s eyes are on the hearing on Islam’s bail plea.
