The stock market started in the green zone on Tuesday. But no significant rise was seen in Sensex. Both Sensex and Nifty opened on the green mark. Sensex opened at 77,171 points with a gain of 97.85 points. While Nifty opened with a gain of 26.10 points at 23,370.85.

 

Investors are showing caution

Amid mixed trends in global markets, domestic stock markets opened with gains for the second consecutive trading session on Tuesday, January 21. However, the market fell immediately after opening. Investors are taking a cautious approach as US President Donald Trump announced the imposition of trade tariffs on neighboring countries within hours of taking office.

The market is in the red

On Tuesday, January 21, the 30-share BSE Sensex opened nearly 200 points higher at 77,261. On Monday it was Rs. Closed at 77,073. At 9:30 am, the Sensex was trading at 77,184, up 111.32 points or 0.14%. Similarly, Nifty 50 of National Stock Exchange (NSE) also opened strongly at 23,421. At 9:30 am it was trading at 23,404, up 60.15 points or 0.26%.
