East Champaran, November 26 (HS). The SSB 20th Battalion inaugurated the Shaheed Kishore Kunal Football Tournament at Ghorasahan High School playing field on Tuesday.
Deputy Commandant of SSB 20th Battalion Abhijeet Sarkar, who arrived as the chief guest, inaugurated the league match and introduced himself to the players. The first leg match was played between Sitamarhi vs Riga. In which Riga team defeated Sitamarhi 2-0. The second leg match was played between Progress Club Ghorasahan vs Town Club Ghorasahan. In which Town Club defeated Progress Club 2-1. Before the match, the chief guest while addressing the audience told that martyr Kishore Kunal was working as Assistant Commandant in SSB 15th Battalion. Who was a resident of Patna, Bihar.
Martyred in an encounter with militants in Assam on 26 July 2010. In whose memory the above tournament is org.zed by SSB every year. The final match of the tournament will be held at the sports ground of 20th Battalion Sitamarhi. On the occasion, SSB Inspector Ramchandra Yadav of Bhangha, Inspector Ajit Kumar of Kundwa Chainpur, social worker and director of Kaka Group Prakash Singh Kaka along with a large number of SSB jawans and spectators from the border area were present.
