After suffering a narrow loss on opening day, the SG Pipers Cheetahs bounced back in style as they registered a comprehensive 24-16 win over Sohail Khan Ent. Panthers in the third match of the Meteora Developers World Padel League at the Nesco Center in Mumbai on Thursday.

SG Pipers Cheetahs’ mixed doubles duo, Pol Hernandez and Julieta Bidahorria, bounced back from last night’s loss with a dominant 6-2 victory over Sohail Khan Ent. Panthers’ Rama Valenzuela and Marina Guinart.

In the first men’s set, Sohail Khan Ent. Panthers’ Javier Barahona and Javier Garcia put up a fight, holding their serves until SG Pipers Cheetahs’ Teodoro Zapata and Enrique Goenaga broke through to clinch the set 6-4, doubling their team’s lead to 12-6.

In the women’s doubles, SG Pipers Cheetahs’ Claudia Fernandez and Beatriz Gonzalez, who had a challenging outing on the opening day, lived up to the expectations as they secured a 6-3 win over the powerful Sohail Khan Ent. Panthers’ duo of Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo.

While SG Pipers Cheetahs dominated the match, Sohail Khan Ent. Panthers put up a strong fight in the final set, pushing the men’s doubles into a tiebreak. Trailing 5-3 at one stage in the tie-break, Sohail Khan Ent. Panthers’ Javier Barahona and Javier Leal showed great resilience to clinch the set 7-6 over SG Pipers Cheetahs’ Francisco Guerrero and Juanlu Esbri.

However, the significant lead that SG Pipers Cheetahs took early in the game helped them clinch a solid 24-16 victory.

Match 4 between Vernost Jaguars and Game Changers Lions is currently underway. The league stage concludes on February 7, with Game Changers Lions taking on Sohail Khan Ent. Panthers in the first match and the SG Pipers Cheetahs facing Vernost Jaguars in the second. The top two teams from the overall points table will compete in the finals on February 8.
