Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): After Gwalior, a sex racket allegedly undergoing at a spa centre has been busted in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, as informed by Vijaynagar police. Eight persons, including five women, were caught in a compromising position during the raid.
According to Vijaypur police, the spa involved in the scandal is located in Jabalpur’s Shivnagar area of the Vijay Nagar police station limits. It got busted during a joint raid conducted by three teams including the Women’s Police Station and two others.
The Women’s Police Station team received a tip-off regarding crime going-on in the spa centre. During the raid, five young women and three men were found in compromising positions. The police also detained the spa center’s operator on the spot.
Those detained under interrogation
At present, the police have started interrogating those detained to discover if others are involved in this illegal activity. The police believe the suspects may provide critical information to expose any broader network operating in the area.
According to the Vijaynagar Police Station in-charge Virendra Pawar, “The surveillance of other spa centers in the city is ongoing. The authorities hope to uncover additional illegal activities through this investigation. The police have also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activities immediately.”
As per sources, the Vijaynagar area has seen a rapid increase in the number of spa centers, some of which allegedly operate for illicit activities like prostitution.
Locals enraged
Local residents have expressed outrage over the incident. They voiced concerns about the negative impact such activities have on society and urged the police to keep a strict watch on these centers. Many have called for stringent action against those running illegal operations.
