What do meteorologists say?
According to IMD Bhopal’s meteorologist VS Yadav, the western disturbance will bring rain and a slight increase in day and night temperatures. However, once the system moves away, the cold weather will intensify, and temperatures will drop again in the next two days.
The Meteorological Department predicts that melting snow in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh will intensify the cold in Madhya Pradesh. Wind speeds are also expected to increase, with jet stream winds recorded at 240 km/h on Saturday.
