Former Australian cricket team spinner Stuart McGill has been convicted of his involvement in cocaine trade. But it is a matter of relief that he has got a clean chit from allegations of being involved in the supply of drugs on a large scale.

The Jury of the Sydney District Court acquitted 54 -year -old former Australian leg -spinner Stuart McGill in April 2021 for alleged allegations of joining a kilo cocaine deal of $ 330,000. But he has been convicted of being involved in the supply of drugs. The court was told that McGill had introduced a regular drug dealer to his close relative Marinos Sotiropolas at his restaurant in Sydney.
McGill said he had no information about the cocaine deal, but the prosecutors argued that the deal was not possible without his participation. Earlier, Stuart McGill was in discussion due to a strange kidnapping case. He claimed that he was kidnapped, while the two kidnappers said McGill had gone with him on his own will.
