Stock Market Today: There has been huge turmoil in the stock market for the last two weeks. After closing the market in a volatile decline for the last two days, today the Sensex regained the level of 79000 with a jump of 500 points. Nifty has crossed 24000 with a jump of more than 175 points.

The market has been supported by buying in banking and auto stocks. Auto index witnessed gains today as ratings of various auto stocks were upgraded by listed DAM Capital. Shares of Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra, Eicher Motors, Maruti Suzuki rose up to 3 percent. However, stock specific volumes have been weak. Which reflects the mood of the holidays ending in December.

At 11 am, Sensex was trading 493.80 points up at 78966.28 and Nifty was trading 152.30 points up at 23902.50. Market cap of BSE increased by Rs 1 lakh crore to Rs 443.52 lakh crore. 126 shares reached one-year high and 51 reached one-year low. 177 shares hit upper circuit and 238 shares hit lower circuit.

Attractive listing of five IPOs

The Main Board has listed five IPOs today. In which Mamta Machinery has made the investors happy by listing at a premium of 147 percent. Apart from this, the issue of DAM Capital was listed at 39 per cent premium, Sanathan Textile at 29.64 per cent, Transrail Lighting at 35.45 per cent and Concorde Envaro’s issue at 18.69 per cent premium.
