An embarrassing incident took place in Khunti district of Jharkhand on Friday (21 February) , Five girls returning from a wedding ceremony in Khunti were abducted and gang-raped by 10-12 youths. Five girls returning from the wedding ceremony in Rania police station area of Khunti district were abducted by 10-12 youths. Three of them were gang -raped. When these criminals were taking the girls to the forest, one of them ran away after cutting a young man’s hand. After this, he informed the villagers about this matter. When she reached the spot with the villagers, all the criminals had fled.
In a statement given to the police, the 10 -year -old victim said, “I was raped by three people.” Another victim said, “I was taken hostage by seven cruel people and three of them raped me.”
Superintendent of Police (SP) Christopher Kerketta said, ‘Police was informed about the case on Sunday. The police have started action after taking statements from the victims. 10-12 youths have been detained and are being questioned. All the accused will be caught soon.
