Washington (DC): The US Senate has approved the appointment of Indian-American Dr. Donald Trump. He has approved the appointment of Jai Bhattacharya as director of the National Institute of Health. The official website of the 119th Congress states that 53 out of 100 members of the Senate voted in favor of the appointment. While 47 members voted against it. Thus, the Senate has approved the appointment.
Dr. Bhattacharya is a health policy professor at Stanford University. In addition, he is also a research associate in the National Bureau of Economic Research. He has been accepted as Senior Fellow by the National Bureau of Economic Research and Stanford Friso Smouli Institute and Harvard Institute.
Dr. Bhattacharya is currently the director of Stanford’s Center for Pediatrics and Health and Old Age Economics. Many of his books have also been published. In addition, their articles are published in health and health policy magazines.
