Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): Shops and markets were closed in Sehore city on Tuesday in protest against incidents of attack against Hindus in Bangladesh. The impact of the market closure was seen in the district headquarters where all the shops, including those who sell tea and medicines, closed their establishments. Other shopkeepers also put up their shutters.
The main markets which were closed included Bada Bazar, Gandhi Market, Charkha Line, Machhli Bazar, Ganga Ashram, Inglishpura area, Chanakyapuri, Kotwali Chouraha and other places were closed. A public meeting was held at Bal Vihar Maidan. A large number of people took part in the meeting. The people reached the collectorate and handed over a memorandum addressed to the President.
Rally taken out against Bangladesh
Narmadapuram: A rally was taken out in Narmadapuram in protest against the torture meted out to the Hindus in Bangladesh. The Gurus of Arsh Gurukul, Arsh Veers, saints, legislators Sitasaran Sharma and Prem Shankar Verma, and chairperson of Nagar Palika took part in the rally. Hundreds of people, including women, took part in the rally. Those who participated in the rally raised slogans against the Bangladesh government. The rally, which began from Kali temple in Sat Rasta, passing through various streets, reached the collectorate.
10K people gather to protest
Ganj Basoda: Thousands of people gathered at Ram Leela Maidan in Ganj Basoda on Tuesday to protest against attack on Hindus in Bangladesh. Mahant Ram Manohar Das who was the chief guest at the meeting urged the people to fight against this injustice.
