Jaipur: A school bus fell off a culvert in Chaumun, Jaipur on the Jaipur-Bikaner Highway (NH-52) on Wednesday morning. A 12th class student killed in this accident, while 9 students were seriously injured.
The accident happened due to the brake fail of the bus. There were 25-30 students on the bus. After the incident, the driver fled from the spot.
The police said that the school bus went out of control and crashed near Veer Hanuman Marg culvert on NH-52 claiming the life of
Student Komal Devanda (18) who was a 12th class student.
After the accident, a large number of people gathered at the Government Hospital in Chaumu and demanded action against illegal vehicles running on the road.
The bus was running without a Bal Vahini permit and its fitness was also expired. The District Transport Officer has asked the Chaumun police station officer to take action against those responsible for the accident, including the school operator and the bus owner.
