Hassan (Karnataka), March 19: In a shocking incident, two forest officials had a near-death experience as they were chased by an angry wild elephant in Karnataka’s Hassan. The cameraman bravely stood and filmed the incident without caring for his life as the elephant came running towards him. The video shows two forest department officials being chased by the elephant and the cameraman recording the video as they run towards his direction.
Elephant Gets Angry at Officials
In Belur Taluka village of Hassan, Karnataka, a wild elephant lost its way and entered farmland. When the forest department officials arrived to send the elephant back into the forest, it became aggressive. Instead of leaving, the elephant got angry and started chasing the officials. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.

A viral video shows two officials identified as Prashant and Sunil running for their lives as the elephant chases them. The elephant was seen running behind them while they ran ahead to escape.

The video got viral and is being widely shared on social media. People were relieved that the officials were safe, but they also praised the cameraman for capturing the dramatic moment. Some even joked that the cameraman always stays safe in such situations.
Previous Incident
There have been many instances where elephants have attacked human in aggression. In a previous incident, an elephant attacked a JCB machine after it was allegedly provoked and teased in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri. The incident was caught on camera and the video showed the elephant lifting the JCB machine with its trunk.
