These include Sharma’s wife, his mother, relatives , business partners and associates, said officials.
The police have named the individuals as “suspected beneficiaries of the proceeds of crime” or those who may have allegedly assisted in laundering these proceeds. Lokayukta police have also come to know of more names after the search by income tax department and Enforcement Directorate.
Further investigation has led to the identification of more individuals, including Sharma’s wife Divya Sharma, his mother, his associate Vinay Haswani, and business partner. Other notable names include his relatives in Bhopal, such as Rohit Tiwari from Jabalpur, KK Arora of Gwalior, and Dr Shyam Agarwal of Bhopal.
Sources suggest that Rohit Tiwari is a relative of Sharma and allegedly invested significant sums in Tiwari’s construction firm, Omega Realcon Pvt Ltd. KK Arora, a former senior sub-registrar, has also been summoned for questioning. Saurabh Sharma, Chetan Singh Gaur, and Sharad Jaiswal were arrested by the Lokayukta police on January 28 in connection with the Prevention of Corruption Act, related to a case filed on December 19, 2024.

No show, so far
Despite the Lokayukta police serving notices to half a dozen individuals linked to the case, none of them have appeared to record their statements. Some of these people have been seen meeting Sharma at the Kohefiza police station, but neither police arrested them nor have they shown up to provide their statements.
