Satej Baner defeated Sai Parbhani 34-26 in the final to win the highly anticipated Khasdar Chashak Kabaddi Tournament, held from April 5 to 7 at Pandurli. The competition was held among 18 teams across 29 intense matches.

The grand finale featured a gripping battle between Parbhani and Satej, but Tejas Maruti who got the best raider award and Kiran Magar (best player) ensured they brought their form in the final to help Satej prevail in the pulsating encounter. Parbhani finished as the runner-up, showing tremendous grit and determination through out the competition. Vijay Tare from Sai Parbhani was declared best defender of the tournament.

Hope United FC dismantle CFCI

Hope United FC dismantled CFCI with a massive 8-0 victory in the Mumbai Premier League at Nevile D’Souza Ground, Bandra on Tuesday.

Leading comfortably at half-time, Hope United controlled the game with 59% possession, unleashing 20 total shots, out of which 14 were on target.CFCI struggled to respond, managing only 10 shots with 5 on target, and were outplayed in all departments. Despite both teams

committing 7 fouls each, the game remained clean with no bookings. Hope United also won the set-piece battle with 5 corners and 5 offsides, asserting their tactical edge.

PPCA Mangalvedha outclass RUCA

PPCA Mangalvedha outclassed RUCA by 62 runs, posting a mammoth total of 231/6 in 20 overs in the Future Stars Cricket Championship in Sangli on Tuesday. Star performer Samarth Deshmukh led the charge with a blistering 89 off 48 balls, smashing 10 fours and six sixes. He also contributed with the ball, claiming two wickets in his four-over spell. P. Patil provided solid support with a powerful 71 off 37 balls, hitting nine fours and three sixes. With the ball, G. Gaikwad was exceptional, picking up three wickets for just 19 runs. RUCA managed to score 151/9, but fell short in their chase, unable to match PPCA’s all-round dominance.

In a nail-biting contest, Sagar Auti Cricket Academy (SACA) held their nerves to defeat Success 11 by 13 runs, defending a total of 122 in 18.3 overs. The match saw brilliant all-round performances from Rohit Choughule, who picked up three wickets in 3.4 overs while conceding 26 runs and also contributed 19 runs off 17 balls with a four and a six.

S. Vadgave provided crucial support with a fiery 32 off 19 balls, smashing 3 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 168. With the ball, A. Choughule stood out by taking three wickets for just 18 runs in his four-over spell, helping SACA bowl out Success 11 for 109 in 19.4 overs to seal a hard-fought win.
