In 2022, Karthi starred in a movie titled Sardar which had him in a double role. The Tamil film did very well at the box office with a collection of Rs. 54.99 crore. Directed by P. S. Mithran, the movie’s sequel was announced in 2022 itself, and now, the makers on Monday, unveiled the prologue of the film. While Karthi returns to the sequel, SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, and Ashika Ranganath are joining the franchise.
The prologue of the movie is quite stylish, and while of course it has Karthi as Agent Chandra Bose aka Sardar, it introduces the antagonist played by SJ Suryah. The video is so good that it surely leaves wanting for more.

Sardar 2 – Pan India Release
When Sardar was released in 2022, it was dubbed in Telugu as well. In Telugu, the film had received an average response with a collection of Rs. 12.64 crore. Now, the makers have decided to release Sardar 2 as a pan-India film. While it is a Tamil movie, Sardar 2 will be dubbed and released in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Karthi is not a famous face in the Hindi belt. However, people have seen him in Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 and 2. So, it will be interesting to see what response Sardar 2 will get at the box office in Hindi. Meanwhile, the makers have not yet announced the release date, however, reportedly it will hit the big screens in 2026.
