BCCI can take action against Sanju Samson: The Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to be held in Pakistan and Dubai can be announced on January 19. Meanwhile, before the team selection, big news is coming out about wicketkeeper and batsman Sanju Samson. Sanju Samson may be out of Champions Trophy. Apart from this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can also take action against him. Sanju reportedly had a dispute with the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA).

What was the whole matter?

Here, let us tell you that Sanju Samson had asked not to join the practice camp of the Kerala team before the start of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. Due to which he was not selected in the Kerala team for Vijay Hazare Trophy. KCA secretary Vinod S Kumar said, ‘The association does not want any young player to lose his place due to uncertainty over Samson’s availability.’

BCCI unhappy with Samson

According to a report, top BCCI officials and selectors are not happy with Samson’s decision to stay out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. BCCI has clearly said that the basis of selection in the Indian team is domestic cricket. In such a situation, players will have to play domestic cricket.

Samus needs to improve her attitude

BCCI sources say, ‘This matter can be discussed before selecting the team for the Champions Trophy. The selectors and the board are very clear about the importance of domestic cricket. Last year, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer lost their central contracts for not playing domestic matches without permission. In Samson’s case, he has not yet given any reason to the board and selectors as to why he did not play in the tournament. So far it is known that he spends most of his time in Dubai. Sanju Samson has a bitter history with KCA. But to play domestic cricket they will have to find a solution. It is not possible that there was some misunderstanding between KCA and him and he missed the game time. Before Vijay Hazare Trophy, he played in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Samson may be out of Champions Trophy!

Sanju Samson has been selected for the T20 series against England starting from January 22. The selectors want to know why Sanju Samson did not participate in the Victory Trophy. According to the report, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant can be selected as wicketkeepers in the Indian team for the Champions Trophy. Dhruv Jurel, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson are in the running as backup wicketkeeper. Sanju played his last ODI match for the Indian team on 21 December 2023.
