Sanju Samson’s father, Samson Viswanath, has accused the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), of targeting his son and plotting a conspiracy against him. The accusation comes after his son Sanju was excluded from the Kerala squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy, allegedly due to his absence from a mandatory training camp.

The situation escalated further after the KCA President, Jayesh George, blamed Sanju for his omission, citing his withdrawal from the camp via a brief text message.

Viswanath, accused certain individuals within the KCA of deliberately tarnishing his son’s reputation. He expressed fears that Sanju might be made a scapegoat for any issues within the association. In an emotional appeal, he urged other cricket boards to provide Sanju with opportunities, even hinting at the possibility of leaving Kerala if a better chance arises elsewhere.

Speaking to Sports Tak he said, “I knew about six months ago that they are planning something against Sanju. KCA were plotting things in a way that he left Kerala. We couldn’t fight with them. There are directors there. You can’t talk back to them, you can’t challenge them. My child is not safe. They will put the blame on Sanju for everything and people will believe them too.”

Sanju Samson’s father wants his son to stop playing for Kerala

A retired footballer and former police constable, Viswanath emphasized Sanju’s unwavering dedication to cricket, stating that his son has devoted his entire life to the sport. He expressed his disappointment with the KCA and called for Sanju to sever ties with the association for the sake of his career and mental well-being.

He further added, “I really want that my son stops playing cricket for Kerala. If any state wants to give my son a chance, saying ‘Sanju, come and play for us’, I am willing to make that appeal,”
