Sanjeevani CC and MCC Santacruz made impressive starts by winning their first-round matches in the Mumbai CC Academy Boys’ U-12 Talent Search Cricket League 2024-25 organized by Jwala Sports Foundation, and played at the Oval Maidan.

In a closely contested encounter, Sanjeevani defeated Spider CC by 15 runs while MCC Santacruz recorded a comfortable 45-run win against MCC Thane in another match.

Electing to bat, Sanjeevani CC scored 150 runs for 5 wickets from their 25 overs. The leading scorers was Prajwal Khilare 29 runs and Suchit Jadhav 26 runs, while Akash Morya took 2 for 24. Later, Sanjeevani’s Om Dhembre finished with an impressive 4 wickets for 22 runs to dismiss Spider CC for 135 in 25 overs. Shreyas Gulve was the top-scorer with 31 runs.

MCC Santacruz after deciding to bat made 147 for 5 from their 25 overs. Vivan S. scored a superb 59 runs and Nakul M contributed 25 runs to lift the innings, while Dishant Phulore claimed 2 for 21. In reply, MCC Thane batters struggled against the disciplined bowling from Arnav Rai (5 for 14) and were bowled out for a paltry 102 in 21.5 overs.
