Navi Mumbai: In observance of World Leopard Day, a unique musical awareness event titled ‘Sangeet Bibat Aakhyan’ is set to take place in Thane on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 7 PM. Organized by Seetai Creations in association with Mumbai Tarun Bharat, this musical storytelling program marks a special initiative aimed at raising awareness about leopards through cultural expression.
The event will be held at the Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Auditorium, Mini Hall, Manpada, Thane (W). Entry is free of charge, and attendees can register by scanning the QR code provided in the invitation.
Written and directed by Makarand Sawant, ‘Sangeet Bibat Aakhyan’ promises to be a captivating journey blending music, performance, and wildlife education, with a focus on fostering understanding and coexistence between humans and leopards.
The program is supported by prominent wildlife and conservation organizations including: WMA (Wildlife Welfare Association), Jeevan Ek Rang Foundation CPCA (Centre for People and Collective Action).
A highlight of the event is the creative depiction of leopards in traditional Maharashtrian attire, reinforcing the theme of harmonious integration of wildlife in our cultural narratives.
This initiative is being hailed as an innovative step in using performing arts for community engagement and conservation awareness, as Maharashtra continues to explore inclusive strategies for wildlife protection.
