India T20I pacer Sandeep Sharma’s fine spell starred as BPCL beat CGST by eight wickets in the 19th DY Patil T20 Cup at the DY Patil Ground in Talegaon on Thursday.

Batting first, CGST made 157 for seven in their 20 overs. Skipper Ninad Kadam (72: 43b, 11×4, 1×6) and Vinay Kunwar (51: 44b, 6×4, 1×6) starred with the bat for CGST.  For BPCL the best bowler was Sandeep Sharma who picked three for 24. In their response BPCL chased down the score thanks to Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre (65 n.o.: 29b, 8×4, 4×6) leading the way. Another India T20I player Rahul Tripathi, also BPCL skipper, made a quick fire 47 off 23 balls to star in the win. 

In the second game Indian Navy went down to Canara Bank at Talegaon in a high-scoring contest. Navy made 207 for five in their 20 overs and in response Canara Bank chased down the score in 18.5 overs to finish on 212 for six.
