The work of dyeing and painting on the exterior of Sambhal’s royal Jama Masjid continues rapidly. On Sunday morning, 9 laborers started work, and the mosque is currently being painted in white color.

Work is being done under the supervision of ASI

On Saturday, a two -member team of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) inspected the mosque with the workers.
The team also discussed the material and technology used in dyeing-painting.

The responsibilities of the Masjid Committee say that more workers can also be installed if needed to complete the work as soon as possible.

High Court order-Dyeing and painting should be completed in 7 days

On 12 March 2025, Allahabad High Court Judge Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal ordered that the mosque whiteness be completed within 7 days.
Now there are only 4 days left, so the work is being done fast.

Mosque Secretary Farooqui said,
“Three days have passed, and an attempt is being made to complete the work in the next four days.”

Professional painter called from Delhi

Professional artisans from Delhi have been called for dyeing.
Painters have been asked to work very carefully according to the High Court’s instructions.

Why is dyeing and painting?

After the violence in Sambhal on 24 November 2024, the Shahi Masjid Committee had sought permission from ASI before Ramadan, but ASI did not allow.
On 25 February 2025, the Masjid Committee filed a petition in the High Court.
The High Court on March 12 ordered that the dyeing work be completed within 7 days.

Will dyeing-paint be completed on time?

Now there are 4 days left, in such a situation, it has to be seen whether the dye-painting of the mosque will be completed within the given time of the High Court.
