Sambhal: A shocking incident surfaced from Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal where a woman and her lover were beaten up by their family members after tying their hands. According to reports, the duo was involved in an extra-marital affair. They were reportedly caught red-handed by their respected spouses from a room.
The entire incident was caught on camera and the video is going viral on social media. In the video, the couple could be seen getting thrashed by their family members with sticks after tying their hands. After the video went viral, the police took cognisance of the incident.

The video shows a large number of people also present at the support. However, nobody came forward to rescue the couple. The incident reportedly took place in the Kesarpur village.
A case has been registered and four individuals were reportedly arrested. Among the arrested are the woman’s husband and the man’s wife. A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter. The police are now trying to identify the other people involved in the assault.
Raebarelli Incident
A similar incident took place in October last year when a married woman and her lover were brutally assaulted by the villagers after she allegedly met him on the day of Karwa Chauth in the states’ Raebarelli district. The incident came to light only after a purported video of the assault went viral on social media.
According to reports, the woman, who was married to another man working in Gurgaon, had called her lover to break her Karva Chauth fast, a ritual traditionally observed by married women for their husband’s long life. When the villagers came to know about the affair, they were enraged and decided to take matters into their own hands.
