Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): The campaign for Mandsaur to be designated as a division has entered a new phase, spearheaded by the Mandsaur Citizen Forum. This initiative aims to mobilise support through a postcard campaign addressed to the chief minister, engaging students, teaching staff and parents at the CM Rise Maharani Laxmi Bai School.

Representatives from Mandsaur Citizen Forum- including Gurucharan Bagga, met with school officials and students to kick off the campaign. In the presence of school principal KC Solanki, they distributed 1,150 postcards.

During the event, Bagga cited the geographical challenges faced by residents and its surrounding areas. He urged that the state government consider the creation of a division to alleviate practical difficulties faced by citizens due to the distance from the divisional headquarters.

He announced that the movement’s momentum would soon extend throughout Mandsaur and into Neemuch district. He noted that the campaign has been ongoing since October 2, with significant public participation.

Over the past month, approximately 35,000 postcards were written during a campaign at Gandhi Square. A memorandum was previously submitted to the chief minister during his visit to Mandsaur. On this occasion, students pledged to write postcards and motivate their parents to participate as well.
