Stand-up comedian Samay Raina reunited with content creator and actress Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel Kid recently, months after their India’s Got Latent controversy. On Wednesday (May 14), Samay took to his Instagram story to share a couple of pictures with Apoorva.
One of the photos showed them raising a toast. Apoorva also shared a picture in which Samay is seen holding Balraj Ghai’s wife Chandni Ghai’s hand. “Too cute,” she captioned the post.
For those unversed, Balraj is the owner of Habitat Studio where the episodes of India’s Got Latent were shot. Take a look at their photos here:

Meanwhile, Samay announced that he will resume his tour soon. A couple of days back, he posted a video which features visuals of his last tour during which all his shows were houseful.
After sharing the video, Samay shared multiple Instagram stories. In one of the stories, he wrote, “The most testing time of my life makes for the best comedy. I’ll see you on tour.” He also revealed that the ticketing websites have crashed. “We have crashed the ticketing websites, should be fine in a bit guys,” Samay said.
His upcoming shows will take place in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Samay and Apoorva are now returning to normalcy after the massive India’s Got Latent controversy.
What is the India’s Got Latent controversy?
It all began after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made an objectionable comment during his appearance as a panelist on Samay’s India’s Got Latent. He asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”
Ranveer, Apoorva, Ashish Chanchlani and Samay received severe backlash for the distasteful remark. Though Ranveer quickly apologised, multiple FIRs were filed against him, along with Samay, Apoorva and Ashish.
Later, Samay too issued an apology and deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel, but things had already spiralled out of control by then.
Also, Ranveer, Samay and Apoorva appeared before the Maharashtra cyber cell for the third time on April 15 to record their statements in the case.
