Elon Musk, in a surprise move, has made a bid to take over Sam Altman-led OpenAI. OpenAI is the maker of the chatbot ChatGPT.
Musk reportedly made a USD 97 billion bid to take over the company, which has often been at the receiving end of his ire, in his feud with Sam Altman.
Will Buy Twitter
The feud between the two only aggravated further, as Sam Altman reacted to the news of the takeover bid.
Altman took to his personal account on Musk’s own platform, X.
In his post, he dismissed the offer and mocked Elon Musk. In the post, Altman said, “no thank you but we will buy twitter for USD 9.74 billion if you want.”
Here, Altman suggested taking over Musk’s own platform X, which he put a price tag 10x lower than the bid Musk made for OpenAI.
Elon Musk Calls Altman a Swindler
X, formerly Twitter, was infamously bought by Elon Musk at the end of a messy deal for an amount of USD 44 billion.
Musk, was quick to react to the post. Replying to Altman’s post, Musk called the OpenAI chief a Swindler.

The Feud
Many netizens reacted to this open feud.
One X user said, “Sam said Twitter and not X. ?”
Another user added, “This is Kendrick vs Drake for nerds”.
Although, Sam Altman did not engage with Musk’s Swindler remark, the SpaceX boss went on with his rant and complaints against Altman.
In another post, on his own account, Musk shared a clipping, with a caption reading Scam Altman.
In a previous post, Musk also called him a liar.
In addition, Musk has also taken Altman and OpenAI to court over its attempts to make OpenAI a for-profit company, a transition from its current not-for-profit form. Musk has also advocated for OpenAI to become open source.
