Salman Khan’s much awaited film ‘Sikander’ finally knocked in theaters on the occasion of Eid and it was no less than Idi for Bhaijaan fans. Although the film has received mixed reviews from the critics, Salman’s fans are openly looting their love. The film created a stir at the box office by making a tremendous opening of ₹ 26 crore on its first day. But the real question is whether ‘Alexander’ showed a boom in his earnings on the second day?
Increase in earning second day, Eid benefits
According to the report by Box Office Tracker Sacnilk, the film’s earnings were recorded on the day of Eid i.e. Monday. Due to the holiday, good crowd gathered in theaters and the film collected about ₹ 29 crore.
In this way, the total India collection of the film has reached ₹ 55 crore in 2 days. Crossing 50 crores in two days can be considered a strong start, but expectations were much higher than this.
Occupancy Report: How was the audience’s response throughout the day?
‘Alexander’ received the most response in evening shows, where the occupancy was up to 30.18%.
- Morning Shows: 8.38%
- Afternoon: 26.70%
- Evening: 30.18%
- Total Occupancy in Hindi Language: 21.75%
These figures show that the audience is curious about the film, but the bumper response is still waiting.
‘Alexander’ lags behind ‘Chhava’
The expectations that Salman Khan had from this film do not seem to be fulfilled at the moment. Neither the film made a record break on Opening Day nor could he perform some bang on the day of Eid.
The biggest opening film of 2025 ‘Chhava’ earned ₹ 31 crore on the first day, which is more than ‘Alexander’. Salman has returned to theater from ‘Alexander’ after almost two years, but the magic did not appear for which he is known.
Where did the film missed the story, direction and casting?
‘Sikander’ is directed by South veteran director AR Murugadas, who earlier gave a blockbuster film like Ghajini. But he did not see the same old grip in ‘Alexander’.
In the film, Salman Khan was seen with Rashmika Mandana for the first time, but the chemistry of both did not connect to the audience. Many people on social media described the pair as “mismatched” and also described their romantic track as weak.
Satyaraj, who was seen in the role of the villain of the film, played his role well, but the story felt less.
Now what next? Will ‘Alexander’ rest?
The biggest strength of ‘Sikander’ is that it is not currently getting competing with any big Bollywood film in theaters. This is Solo release, so it will get full opportunity to create its hold.
The first week will be very important for the film. If it continues to earn a decent in the weekdays, then the lifetime collection can cross ₹ 150 crore.
