A groundbreaking workshop was successfully organized by Saket College of Education, Kalyan, in association with the Private Unaided Schools Management’s Association (PUSMA). The event, designed to empower educational leaders with cutting-edge AI tools, saw participation from trustees, principals, and coordinators of over 60 schools and over 160 plus participants in from the Mumbai metropolitan region.
The workshop owes its success to the diligent efforts of Dr. Archana Rodrigues, President of PUSMA, Mr. Saket Tiwari, Secretary of Saket Gyanpeeth, along with the support of Dominic Paul, Secretary of PUSMA, and esteemed Governing Council members such as Mr. Bharat Malik, Adv. Ashok Salve, and Mr. Ajit Balan.
Ms. Archana Rodrigues, President of PUSMA, in her inaugural address at the workshop by emphasized the growing role of AI in today’s educational environment. She highlighted the rapid adoption of technology by students and the need for educators to keep up with these advancements to ensure a dynamic learning experience.
The workshop was expertly conducted by Willibord George, Senior Vice President of GEMS Education India Region. George provided valuable insights into the complexities of AI, helping attendees better understand its practical applications within educational institutions. His session offered a detailed exploration of how AI can enhance both teaching and learning processes, equipping educators with the tools they need to navigate the technological evolution in the classroom.
The event also welcomed esteemed dignitaries, including the Deputy Commissioner of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation, Mr Sanjay Jadhav who served as the Guest of Honour. In his address, he spoke about the ongoing transformations in various sectors and the critical role of technology in driving these changes.
The Chief Guest, Associate Dean and Principal, C.A. Chakaradeo, further reinforced the significance of AI, stressing its importance in today’s rapidly changing world. He emphasized how AI is reshaping industries and underscored the necessity for educational institutions to incorporate AI into their curricula to prepare students for the future.
Mr. Bharat Malik, Chairman, Arya Global Group and ex- President PUSMA mentioned, “AI and learning go hand in hand and teachers have to stay abreast with new tools to make teaching more effective. PUSMA believes in community development and we have initiated a group of next generation leaders in education who will take the initiative further.”
Adv. Ashok Salve proposed the vote of thanks and the workshop concluded with a vibrant discussion among participants, who expressed their eagerness to integrate AI into their educational practices.
